Walking around undiscovered Jimin's hometown in Busan

Bangtan Sonyeondan, also known as the BTS and Bangtan Boys has 7 members and 2 of them was born in Busan, Korea.
They are Jimin(1995) and Jungkook(1997).
This article introduces Jimin's hometown in Hoedongdong in Busan.

Jimin's hometown is Hoedong-dong, Geumjeong-gu in Busan.
I am not sure if he was born here or not but it is certain that he had lived here until he passed the Big Hit Ent. Busan audition when he was in his second year of high school when he was 18 years old and transferred to Korean Arts High School(한국예술고등학교) in Seoul.

This area was crowded with people because of the nearby Geumsa Industrial Complex.
However, due to the decline of the industrial complex, population also decreased.
So, the elementary school and middle school where Jimin had attended were closed.
Now those are used for other purposes.

Yunsan Middle School(1985~2013)

It is now used as the Busan Forest Education Center. It is open except Monday and is open to the public.

There are experience programs on weekdays, and more experience programs on weekends.

To sum up, open on weekends, Sat. day, Sunday and closed on Monday.

Public facilities related to culture are apt to close on Monday instead of Sunday in Korea.

The below pictures show when Jimin started the school(2008) and around the time of graduation(2010).

The present appearance is as follows.

It looks small than I expected. You can see some people take a walk with their fats in the garden if you visit this place.

Hoedong elementaryschool(1982~2018)

This place had been remodeled and used as Hoedongmaru(회동마루).

Hoedong Maru is a building name and used as a creative workshop run by the Busan City Office of Education.
It runs a program for students and teachers, one can participate in the program if he or she is a Busan citizen.
It is open on weekdays and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The old school appearance is hard to find and both the exterior and the interior looks modern and clean.

Still, the feeling of school remains on it.

And the trees surrounding the playground seem to be as it once was.

It is a attractive place where the sound of leaves swaying when the wind blows.
It's fun to listen to the sound of wind in the shade of the pavilion on the playground, and imagine a child who would have dreamed of being a big star.

Hoecheon St. in Hoedongdong

Jimin's hometown is a common alleyway that can be seen anywhere in Busan.

Everyone walked about once  and if you open the door of a certain house in Busan now, the common elementary or junior high school students are walking along the street.

This path may not seem ordinary now, because it gives another meaning.
In fact, Jimin was not an ordinary boys, but rather a little special, and handsome boy because he entered high school at the top of his class.
The boy's dreams of walking along this path are now come true and will continue forever.

I hope this article is helpful to those who are curious about Jimin's teenage years in Busan.

-The end-
